The 5th Annual SportVelo Training Camp is Friday, February 9- Monday, February 12. The camp focuses on endurance and tempo riding, with long rides followed by massages, good food, and good company. Please RSVP by Tuesday January 31.

General Info and Ride Protocol

There will be a sag vehicle for all rides equipped with water, extra food, tubes and some tools. You will be able to drop off some extra clothes, too, if the weather isn’t cooperating. Even with this support please plan to be self sufficient for the rides. We will be supporting many athletes and you may not see the sag vehicle all day. We’ll leave together for each ride, but, inevitably, the rides will split up into groups, depending on the abilities of the participants, and the distance chosen. However, each person should have someone to ride with, or, at the very least, know the route and have contact information for SportVelo. Maps and route details will be provided. Unpredictable weather is possible, and routes may change based on the conditions. So plan ahead with appropriate wet and cold weather clothing (ear cover headband, long fingered gloves, leg warmers/knee warmers, booties and rain cape). Also, make certain your bike is in good shape, (new training tires, chain, and brake pads)!! A 25-tooth cog or larger is strongly recommended. If it’s looking like rain be considerate to your riding buddies and install a rear fender.

NOTE: All athletes must sign a waiver, and pre-pay for each day of the camp you plan to attend. The fee is a first and is for covering all the perks, planning, incidentals and expenses from the camp, such as breakfast, sag, workout food, post-ride snacks, and a goodie bag for all participants. It’s in no way meant to discourage your participation.
